Gemma Taylor

Executive Director

Gemma has over 15 years of experience in financial services, specialising in governance, risk management, strategy, regulatory compliance and industry policy.


Prior to joining Hall Advisory, she held senior policy and regulatory supervision roles at APRA across the banking, superannuation and insurance sectors. Gemma has also held positions in Audit and Assurance at KPMG and as an SME Accountant.

Gemma has spent many years working directly with Boards and Executives of some of the largest (and smallest) financial services organisations in Australia, supporting them through enhancing Board governance, risk management, strategic planning and in managing regulatory change. In the policy space, Gemma has led formal reviews of regulatory-settings and policy framework design. She has also supported the OECD’s International Organisation of Pension Supervisors (IOPS), worked with a Pacific-island based Central Bank, and trained at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Outside of work, Gemma enjoys spending time in the great outdoors with her husband and two little kiddos, being originally from a regional town on the WA coast.
